The comparative study of degree of cognition on cerebral stroke(I)


Abstract
The objects of this study are to assess the degree of cognition on cerebral stroke, to suggest step-wise management, and, furthermore, to establish the national program for the prevention and rehabilitation of cerebral stroke.
The degree of cognition of 223 persons who attended special lecture on cerebral stroke(group A) were compared with those of 677 persons who responded questionaires on cerebral stroke during annual physical examination(group B).
There were dramatic differences in the degree of cognition on cerebral stroke between group A and group B.
@ES Therefore, authors conclude and suggest the followings:
@EN 1. The degree of cognition and awareness on cerebral stroke increase with age, and the efforts for the primary prevention of cerebral stroke in younger age need to be emphasized.
2. Doctors who treat cerebral stroke should be actively involved with the prevention and rehabilitation prior tc discharge.
3. Development of social insurance for cerebral stroke is also necessitated to maintain normal life for the rest of the family.
4. Establishment of national program for preventive and rehabilitative measures of cerebral stroke control is essential.
